About the event

The Pan-Afrikan Liberation Movement (PLM) is honored to announce that Baba Imhotep Fatiu — founder of PLM and author of UrBan Philosophy: Politics of UrBan Struggle — will be speaking at African Liberation Day 2026 on the topic of Scientific Pan-Africanism.

Presented by Woodson, Banneker, Jackson Bey Division 330, the Government of the UNIA-ACL, and RC2020, this celebration features an extraordinary lineup of speakers, performers, and cultural programming.

Speakers & Presenters: Mfundi Niyana Koko Rasayon, Eugenia Charles, Karl Philpotts, Baba Mosi Matsimela, Queen Wolete Netfa, Paul Pumphrey, Dr. Ngozi Marsha Coleman-Adebayo, Senghor Jawara Baye, Netfa Freeman, Robert Stubblefield, Ras Kwasi Bonsu, Martha Peterson, and representatives from the African Diaspora Ancestral Commemoration Institute, Odd Fellows Lodge, and Sandy Spring Slave Museum.

Music & Performance: Jah-I-Witness, DJ Ras Blank, Ras Lidj Regg Go, Nyabinghi Drummers, Caribbean Dance Traditions, Evergreen Productions, and Danny Queen.
